二、homework的单词用法
n. （名词）
1、homework的基本意思是“家庭作业”，指课外应预习或复习的功课，是不可数名词。
2、用于比喻homework可指会议等的“准备工作”，是不可数名词。
3、在英国，文科学校和私立学校通常把“家庭作业”叫做prep.，即preparation of lessons 。现在，也有很多人用assignment来表示。
5. 英语时间的几种写法比如你说的12:30可以有两种表达方式：half past twelve和twelve thirty，前者更为常用。而你这个例子比较特殊刚好到半，那么我在把其他几种也列举一下吧。比如另一个特殊的12:15 quarter past twelve和twelve fifteen
那么剩下的在半之前就直接读数字如：12:20twelve twenty 12:25twelve twenty five等，那半之后也可以直接读数字如12:40twelve forty 但更常用的是twety to one（差20分1点）。如果你觉得麻烦或者不好理解，所有的时间都可以直接按顺序读数字也是可以的。
